The main idea of communism has been around much longer than most people think. Communism had not really made a name for itself until the cold war. None the less it has existed and been practiced since at least the time of the first-century christian church. ( source D, page 11) As this is true communism went under a different title in this time period. " A main philosophy of communism has been around for centuries in the form of communal living. communism's root word, commune, aptly describes the origins of communism." ( source D page 11) Communal living is the bases of communism. It is just another way of saying shared living which in theory, is how communal living is supposed to function. quoted from the book "Communism exploring world governments", " Communism began as a theory in the mid-nineteenth century Europe. It stated that the world's problems were caused by inequality." (source D page 8) It also said that capitalism created a barrier among the people that created two classes; the wealthy and the poor. This was seen as unfair.

"During the eighteenth century, the ideas of communal living and shared property received renewed focus as a result of the Industrial Revolution." (source D page 12) the origins of modern communism begin with Karl Marx who officially made it into what it is today. "... Karl Marx, who along with Friedrich Engels published a pamphlet called the communist manifesto in 1848. Marx did not invent the idea of communism, but he did give it a new meaning. In a communist society, the community owns political and economic power, and the wealth is distributed among the people according to need." (source B page 1) Marx did not only believe this idea, he believed that according to his reading of history that the world would eventually take over and the world would be ran in this way. Once his ideas caught the attention of the world the communist party of the soviet union was created in 1893. MARX DIDN'T TAKE HUMAN NATURE INTO ACCOUNT, APPARENTLY!
